There are a lot of magnificent older homes in our region that built to last for generations. However, over time the kitchens are the first spaces outdated and not functional for modern family life.

Recently, Mr. Fix It finished a project that began with a complete tear-out to the stud walls, and we start all over from top to bottom and add some more space.

This home on Sevier Street in Kingsport experienced a complete transformation for our team. After the demolition of the interior, we updated all the electric and rough in plumbing all around. We also added a new 8' x 8' wall addition, after removing an outside wall to open the dining area for much more room.

We installed all new insulation, sheetrock on the ceiling and walls, and went to work on modern color and design patterns.

Our design team matched the exterior from wall to wall with modern paint tones and luxury vinyl flooring.

Working with the homeowners, we selected some of the most beautiful Diamond Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinetry and laid in elegant new granite countertops accented by a clean Subway tile for a backsplash completion.

Smaller accents included black kitchen pulls and knobs for the cabinetry and a black single pole kitchen faucet.

As a final touch to this new gathering place, we installed black kitchen lighting and decor to recreate this fantastic new space that this family will enjoy for years to come.
